Job Description:
Position Overview: The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering parts to designated locations. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment: At the beginning of the day, gather parts to fulfill orders accurately.
- Loading and Unloading: Load parts into the company provided delivery truck and unload them at the destination site safely.
- Coordination: Check with the parts manager or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving for the day to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service when delivering parts, including addressing any customer needs while on-site.
- Additional Pick-Ups/Deliveries: Coordinate with the parts manager or lead person for any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries before returning to the warehouse.
- Stocking and Assistance: Assist in stocking shelves and support the shipping and receiving clerk as needed.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain daily housekeeping duties in the warehouse to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
Skills:
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the delivery truck clean and ensure preventative maintenance is up to date.
- Customer Service: Possess strong customer service skills.
- Organization: Ability to organize time and workload efficiently.
- Teamwork: Work well with others and communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail: Pay close attention to detail and be thorough in tasks.
- Work Under Pressure: Perform effectively under pressure to meet delivery schedules.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or tech school graduate
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or similar role is preferred.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
Salary Description
$14-$15 an hour
