Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of IT Asset Management (ITAM) on the ServiceNow platform, including Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) modules.
- Customize and configure ITAM modules to meet client-specific requirements, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
- Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather detailed requirements for ITAM solutions.
- Analyze existing asset management processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories for ITAM configurations.
- Engage with key stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment on ITAM strategies and processes.
- Provide advisory support on ITAM best practices, helping clients make informed decisions about their asset management strategy.
- Act as the liaison between technical and business teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives.
- Configure asset discovery, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking in SAM and HAM modules.
- Develop and manage workflows, business rules, and automation scripts to streamline asset management operations.
- Integrate ITAM with other ServiceNow modules such as CMDB, ITSM, and Procurement to provide seamless asset visibility and control.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the ITAM solution by implementing data quality rules and reconciliation processes.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks for asset data management and compliance.
- Conduct training sessions and develop documentation to empower end-users and administrators to manage ITAM processes independently.
- Create user guides, process documentation, and knowledge transfer materials to facilitate smooth handover.
- Design and implement dashboards and reports to provide insights into asset utilization, compliance, and cost savings.
- Use reporting tools to support decision-making on asset optimization and lifecycle management.
- Regularly review and optimize ITAM processes to align with evolving business needs and technological advancements.
- Stay updated on ServiceNow ITAM module enhancements and industry trends to continually enhance the solution's effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the ITAM solution, ensuring minimal disruption to asset tracking and compliance activities.
- Provide ongoing support for ITAM applications, making adjustments as needed to address operational changes or new requirements.
- Ensure ITAM practices adhere to organizational and regulatory compliance standards.
- Prepare for and assist in IT asset audits by maintaining accurate records and configurations in line with compliance requirements.
