Maintenance Technician (Food Manufacturing | PLC Experience | Abilene, TX)

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, tackle complex technical challenges, and contribute to the production of high-quality food products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on sophisticated food processing equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery, including PLC systems (Allen Bradley)
- Program and modify PLC systems, working with various models from legacy to state-of-the-art
- Operate and maintain HMIs, I/O modules, VFDs, sensors, actuators, and control panels
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Work with SCADA systems and industrial networking equipment
- Utilize testing, diagnostic, and calibration tools effectively
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, control panels, and related devices
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming and modification
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends
- Technical or vocational degree in a related field is a plus
- Experience in cookie manufacturing is beneficial but not required

Shift Details:
2nd Shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm
3rd Shift: 10:30pm to 7:00am (7:30am on Mondays)
Weekend work required with two consecutive weekdays off
