About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations, manage vehicle maintenance schedules, and drive efficiency across our transportation services. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with excellent organizational skills, capable of handling the fast-paced and dynamic environment of fleet management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily fleet operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and maintenance planning.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained according to safety and compliance regulations, coordinating routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Track and analyze fleet metrics, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with drivers and other team members to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and company safety policies.
- Develop and manage fleet budgets, tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Manage vehicle procurement, registration, and disposal as needed to meet company needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or a similar role within transportation/logistics.
- Strong understanding of fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and maintenance management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining compliance and safety standards.
- Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
