Our client, a luxury hospitality group is seeking a talented Overnight Chef to join their Back of House team, supporting their newly-opened restaurant and hotel in New York! This candidate will be responsible for ensuring that guests receive quality meals, even during non-traditional hours.
Responsibilities:
- Cooking meals throughout the night for room service, and for breakfast. Preparing food for the next day.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established menu items and up to par with quality standards.
- Maintain correct inventory of supplies.
- Ensure proper training and safety procedures are followed and correcting any safety hazards.
- Plan and execute production, ensuring minimal waste.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a chef, preferably in an overnight or late-night kitchen setting and coming from a restaurant that focuses on Italian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during busy nights.
- Excellent culinary skills, with attention to detail and creativity.
- Flexibility in schedule, with the ability to work throughout the night, weekends, and holidays as needed.
