As an experienced Solar Test Engineer, you will provide technical support for a global client in the areas of testing, inspection, and quality assurance for photovoltaic (PV) products and laboratory activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and acquire projects focused on the design, safety qualification, and certification of solar modules (c-Si).
- Conduct testing and witnessing of solar modules according to established technical procedures, such as IEC EN 61215/61730, UL 61215/61730, and CAN CSA 22.2, at a customer testing facility.
- Qualify PV products and components in a photovoltaic testing laboratory.
- Perform remote and onsite audits of client laboratories.
- Review test plans and reports, and create inspection and audit documentation.
- Regularly monitor production facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with a global solar team to ensure technical capacity for service delivery and achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Share and exchange technical knowledge with clients.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- Practical training or experience in electrical engineering is desirable.
- Proven experience in project management and documentation.
- Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Confident and professional presence, capable of operating independently.
- In-depth knowledge of metrological systems for assessing PV module characteristics (including insulation measurement, IV characteristics, and EL recordings).
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
This is an on-site role based in Georgia and relocation assistance is provided for the right candidate. A competitive salary of $100,000 - $125,000 is also available DOE + annual bonus and healthcare benefits.
