Position: Maintenance & Facilities Manager
Location: Faribault, MN
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $115-130k DOE
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Site Maintenance and Facilities Program – Lead the maintenance and facilities team, ensuring efficient operations and system effectiveness to meet site objectives.
- Directly Supervise Maintenance Roles – Provide direct oversight to the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Planning roles, aligning their efforts with departmental and company goals.
- Ensure Safety Compliance and Training – Promote a safety-first culture by training department employees on safe work practices, conducting regular safety reviews, and ensuring all equipment meets safety guidelines.
- Maintain an Organized and Safe Work Environment – Ensure that workspaces are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Drive Team Development and Accountability – Coach, develop, and support team members at all levels, fostering a culture of accountability through cross-training, stretch assignments, and clear expectations.
- Maximize Equipment Efficiency (O.E.E.) – Achieve or exceed Overall Equipment Effectiveness (O.E.E.) goals by implementing proactive and comprehensive maintenance programs.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – Develop and maintain KPIs specific to the maintenance program, providing regular progress updates to the business.
- Lead and Support Multiple Projects – Oversee project lifecycle from capital funding requests to implementation, ensuring projects align with business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Budget Management – Establish, monitor, and maintain budgets for maintenance and facilities, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations – Build strong cross-functional relationships with operations, engineering, and electrical teams to support continuous improvement and shared goals.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma Techniques – Apply lean and Six Sigma methodologies to continuously improve maintenance processes and drive operational efficiencies.
- Optimize Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Tools – Evolve maintenance practices by utilizing the latest technology to enhance preventive and predictive maintenance capabilities, ensuring 24/5 coverage and quick issue resolution.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven Leadership in a Manufacturing Environment – 8-10 years of experience in technical leadership roles within a manufacturing setting, with a strong track record of building and leading high-performing maintenance teams.
- Maintenance Program Development – Demonstrated expertise in creating, implementing, and managing proactive preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting – Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Lean Maintenance and Six Sigma Knowledge – Familiarity with Lean Maintenance, Production principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems is highly preferred.
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Required, preferably in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
