Position Overview:
As a Senior Controls Engineer focused on vehicle integration, you will design, develop, and optimize control systems for electric vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance. Your role will involve implementing control algorithms, refining vehicle dynamics, and contributing to real-world testing. This is a key position in the team, ideal for a proactive engineer passionate about clean transportation and technical excellence.
Core Responsibilities:
- Control System Design: Develop, implement, and optimize control algorithms for vehicle systems, including motor control, battery management, and regenerative braking.
- Vehicle Integration: Lead the integration of control systems within vehicle platforms, ensuring smooth interaction between hardware and software components.
- Simulation & Modeling: Utilize MATLAB/Simulink and other tools to simulate vehicle behavior, validate control strategies, and enhance system performance.
- Testing & Validation: Perform lab and in-vehicle testing to validate control system functionality, supporting calibration and diagnostics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in power electronics, firmware, and mechanical engineering to ensure integration accuracy and efficiency.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve integration challenges, implementing continuous improvements based on testing and feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on vehicle integration.
- Strong expertise in control algorithms, MATLAB/Simulink, and embedded systems for automotive applications.
- Experience with EV systems, motor control, and vehicle dynamics is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and data analysis for in-vehicle systems.
