We are seeking a proactive and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations at a confidential manufacturing company. This role is key in assisting with recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and compliance, while ensuring the smooth functioning of the HR department. You will also collaborate with HR colleagues to implement new programs and policies, contributing to continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing questions on HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and managers regarding HR-related matters.
- Assist with the coordination and administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and responding to inquiries on eligibility and plan details.
- Track and manage employee leave, such as vacation, sick time, and FMLA requests.
- Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and organizing new hire paperwork.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems accurately.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely submission of timekeeping records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations.
- Provide administrative support for employees onboarding and offboarding, including preparing documentation, coordinating orientation schedules, and managing exit paperwork.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues on implementing new HR policies, processes, and programs.
- Prepare monthly HR reports as needed and help maintain HR documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
Qualifications:
- High school degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while supporting the broader HR team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR practices in a manufacturing environment.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
