Responsibilities of the Event Coordinator:
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events ranging from client receptions to internal meetings, seminars, and CLE programs that support the firm’s goals.
- Track and manage CLE compliance records for attorneys, ensuring all requirements are consistently met.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop relevant agendas and event schedules that address the needs of their practice areas.
- Manage relationships with high-quality vendors, venues, and service providers to ensure top-tier event experiences, handling all aspects from invitations and RSVPs to event follow-ups.
- Work with the marketing team to promote events effectively, leveraging strategies like email campaigns and social media to boost engagement.
- Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials that capture the firm’s values and amplify its brand.
Qualifications of the Event Coordinator:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing and event coordination, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting.
- Knowledge of CLE standards and attorney-centered event planning is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail, ensuring a smooth and comprehensive event experience.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across departments effectively.
- Must be able to work on-site in Chicago at least three days per week, with some flexibility for evening or overtime commitments as events require.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and event management software is necessary.
