I am currently working with a leading AM LAW top 100 ranked firm, who are actively looking to recruit an Attorney who specializes in private equity matters to join their Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage private equity transactions, from due diligence to deal completion.
- Provide legal counsel on private equity matters, including fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including purchase agreements, investment agreements, and disclosure schedules.
- Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to develop effective legal strategies.
- focus on representing middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active state bar membership and eligibility to practice law in Illinois.
- 2+ years of experience as a Private Equity Attorney, ideally gained within a large law firm setting.
- In-depth knowledge of private equity laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
