The Role:
As the Senior Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee weekly payroll processing, bonuses, benefits administration, and payroll taxes. You’ll guide employees through payroll processes, handle escalations, and drive process improvements across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle, multi-state, and multi-country payroll while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments on incentive payments, including commissions, overtime, and bonuses.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Handle non-discrimination testing, Form 5500s, ACA filings, and other compliance requirements.
- Manage state and local payroll tax jurisdictions as the company grows.
- Prepare W-2s, government forms, and year-end reports.
- Assist with compensation program development and annual salary planning.
- Lead a payroll team, ensuring accuracy, streamlining processes, and building standard practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in multi-state payroll administration.
- 5+ years of experience in team leadership and management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in HRIS Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP or PHR).
