We are seeking an experienced Project Executive with a background in Multi-Family and Hospitality construction to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated leader who takes pride in their projects, values teamwork, communicates openly, and enjoys bringing new, ambitious projects to life.
Job Summary:
The Project Executive provides overall leadership and direction for assigned construction projects. In this role, you will negotiate contracts with owners, serve as the primary point of contact for Project Managers on matters related to budget, billing, and client satisfaction, and ensure the project’s financial success.
Essential Functions:
- Lead all business judgment, financial, and profitability aspects of assigned projects.
- Oversee financial administration, set project goals and objectives, and evaluate project financial performance on a monthly basis.
- Comply with accounting policies, ensure accurate financial forecasting, maximize cash flow, and meet financial reporting deadlines.
- Manage project risk in line with company guidelines, seek ways to improve operating returns, and resolve claims promptly.
- Supervise project operations, monitoring for budget adherence, scheduling, and profitability.
- Uphold corporate culture and values.
- Mentor team members, promote the company’s mission and vision, and foster professional growth within the team.
- Participate in recruiting, build university relationships, and encourage the employee referral program.
- Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Attend meetings with owners, architects, and contractors, and monitor for contract compliance.
- Review and approve subcontractor agreements and change orders; ensure timely project close-out.
- Develop and maintain visibility and effective relationships with clients, owners, and subcontractors to facilitate ongoing communication and support client needs.
- Stay current in the field by attending educational seminars, reviewing industry publications, and building professional networks.
- Successfully complete corporate training required for the role.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 10-15+ years of experience in construction management, with extensive knowledge of commercial construction practices.
- Proven success in leading multiple project teams and fostering relationships with external partners.
- Ability to manage and adapt to change, embracing new approaches and processes.
- Proficiency with construction project management software and strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with owners, architects, engineers, and other team members.
- Strong leadership abilities, including coaching, mentoring, and team motivation.
- Advanced skills in project management finance.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
