Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in patient care delivery, including various clinical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and input information into electronic health records
- Administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions as directed by the provider
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and coordinating referrals
Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in areas such as hospital medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, or medical-surgical settings is a plus
