IT Sourcing Manager
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing/ procurement/contract management in technology categories such as software, software as a service, hardware, and implementation services for software.
- Experience in analysis, configuration, implementation, and evaluations of IT systems.
- Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
- Experience running RFx processes.
- Sound understanding of computer hardware and software.
Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Day-to-Day:
Reporting to the Senior Director Supply Chain IT Sourcing, the IT Senior Sourcing Manager is responsible for long-term planning, strategy development, and leading continuous improvement of assigned IT spend categories. The position will be responsible for the development and implementation of IT sourcing strategies and standards across the assigned IT spend categories to meet Duke University and Duke Health System needs by achieving high quality, reduced cost, and simplified procurement strategies.
The IT Senior Sourcing Manager operates independently and is responsible for driving IT sourcing strategies, managing the bid process, and complex negotiations for IT hardware, software and services. This person will independently analyze IT spend areas within assigned categories, provide recommendations on IT sourcing strategies and deliver savings to the Health System.
