LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Bodily Injury Adjuster (Litigation) to join an insurance company in Queens, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating bodily injury claims, both litigated and non-litigated. This opportunity is fully on-site with hours of 9AM-5PM (flexible schedule).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation processes by directing defense counsel and monitoring associated costs
- Initiate investigations upon receipt of new claims
- Obtain and document statements from all parties involved
- Maintain detailed records of all activities and manage a diary on all files
- Assess liability based on investigations
- Review medical records to evaluate injury value and maintain accurate claim reserves
- Adhere to company policy regarding reserve and settlement authority, and complete large loss reports as required
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or their attorneys
- Liaise with other carriers to gather injury information
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in handling bodily injury claims, with a strong background in litigation
- Familiarity with liability, comparative negligence, and their application in claims
- Excellent negotiation skills and computer literacy
- Paralegal Certification is a plus
Salary Range: $60,000 - $73,000
