A top 50 Am Law firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its highly regarded Digital Assets and Data Management ("DADM") Group. This role provides the opportunity to work with some of the largest and most prominent companies across various industries, focusing on privacy governance and technology transactions.
As part of the DADM Group’s Privacy Governance and Technology Transactions Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for counselling clients on privacy compliance matters, with a particular emphasis on U.S. state privacy law compliance, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other state privacy law frameworks.
The associate will provide strategic advice on privacy notices, cookie and website compliance, compliant data use initiatives, and Data Processing Agreement (DPA) reviews and negotiations. While experience with global privacy laws and health privacy laws such as GDPR and HIPAA is preferred, it is not required.
Education and Experience:
- Law firm or in-house experience providing proactive privacy compliance advice on CCPA and other state privacy laws
- Experience with GDPR and HIPAA is preferred
- Am Law 100 experience is a plus
- J.D. from a nationally recognized, accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in California or the state of the desired office location

This position offers a competitive salary, ranging from $245,000 to $315,000, annually, based on experience, education, and qualifications.
Associates also participate in a performance and hours-based bonus program.
