Job Description:
GROM's direct customer is seeking an IT Business Analyst for an immediate opportunity in Lenexa, KS.
The selected candidate will assist with analyzing and developing requirements for IT Solutions within an ERP system. The IT Business Analyst will ensure business requirements are effectively captured and addressed and will support efforts such as implementations, enhancements, integrations, break/fix and other unique projects. The IT Business Analyst will interface with users and ensure that requirements are effectively documented, and will provide detailed project status reports to the project management team on a regular basis.
Candidates should have experience interviewing key stakeholders to understand project requirements and documenting these in user stories.
Understanding enhancement requests from the business and helping create clear requirements for technical teams to execute. Working as a laison between technical teams and end users/stakeholders
On IT projects, they should have documented requirements to support implementation projects to install ERP systems or deploy new modules within existing ERPs or enhancing the ERP in response to new requirements from the business
Candidates must have 2+ years of IT Business Analyst experience with Epicor 21 or comparable ERPs. Ideally in a manufacturing or supply chain context. In addition, experience working on data conversions and reporting is required. Strong communications skills are sought for this position. This is a contract to hire position.
Responsibilities
• Work on ERP related projects including new implementations, enhancements, integrations, support, and other special projects.
• Educate internal and external users on ERP best practices.
• Work through and document internal business procedures and processes.
• Identify, design, and implement creative business solutions to continually improve Company’s methodology and approach.
• Recommend suitable functional approaches for optimizations.
• Build a strong relationship with the users through the implementation, ensure the delivery of the project and solution is satisfactory to the business users.
• Document and deliver project status to the management on a regular basis – tasks, overall project status, issues, risks
• Participate in the integration of companies on a common ERP platform:
o Escalation of issues during the project implementation
o Assist business users in execution of conference room pilots
o Assist in go-live support of end users
• Analyze and troubleshoot the ERP functional issues and manage communications with the vendor including the ability to handle escalated issues.
• Train and support other team members in implementing and supporting the end users.
• Actively participate in career development activities.
