Electrical Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Position Overview
The Electrical Manufacturing Engineering Manager oversees a team responsible for designing and optimizing electrical production processes, ensuring seamless collaboration between design and production teams. This role will focus on enhancing manufacturability, implementing efficient manufacturing processes, and providing hands-on support to maintain alignment across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and wiring designers.
- Standardize and improve wiring processes across all production sites.
- Collaborate with electrical design engineering to enhance manufacturability in designs.
- Oversee pilot programs for testing new manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies; evaluate and drive successful implementations across the company.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards within the Electrical Manufacturing Engineering team, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Partner with operations and production teams to identify process bottlenecks, implement improvements, and align engineering and manufacturing objectives.
- Provide hands-on technical support to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
- Regularly walk the factory floor to inspect ongoing projects, collaborate with production teams, and follow up as necessary.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing guidelines for electrical processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams (operations, QA, production, design engineering, mechanical engineering) to ensure smooth design-to-manufacturing integration.
- Support Quality Assurance teams in root cause investigations.
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to process improvement, production efficiency, and design accuracy.
- Travel to company plants as needed to engage with local teams and stakeholders (up to 25%).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience optimizing electrical manufacturing processes.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience managing a team of manufacturing engineers.
