The Hospital Inventory Specialists are responsible for managing and maintaining the hospital’s inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals. This role ensures that all inventory is accurately tracked, stored, and replenished to support the hospital’s operations and patient care needs. We are hiring for an Inventory Coordinator, Inventory Control Clerk, Equipment Specialist, and Lead Inventory Control Clerk to support the supply chain team in a prestigious healthcare organization in Largo, MD.
General Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
- Ordering and Receiving: Place orders for supplies and equipment as needed, receive deliveries, and verify the accuracy and quality of shipments.
- Storage and Organization: Ensure that all inventory is properly stored and organized in designated areas, following safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Stock Rotation: Implement and manage stock rotation procedures to minimize waste and ensure the availability of fresh supplies.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate inventory records in the hospital’s inventory management system and generate regular reports on inventory status and usage.
- Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, purchasing departments, and vendors to address inventory needs and resolve any issues related to supply shortages or discrepancies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1-3 yrs of experience in Inventory Management
- Proficient in Excel
- Warehouse experience
- Infour software (or similar) experience
- Medical supply experience preferred
