We’re seeking a collaborative, self-driven Sales Leader to join our team and drive our commercial strategy across a defined U.S. territory while supporting global expansion efforts. In this role, you’ll establish deep relationships with key customers in academia, biotech, pharma, and government sectors, positioning our unbiased proteomics technology as a market leader. You will play a pivotal role in building the commercial organization while meeting or exceeding sales targets. This position is a blend of field-based and home-office work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory and account-based sales strategy to achieve company goals.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through impactful presentations and consultations on the value of our proteomics technology.
- Lead customer engagements and deliver exceptional experiences, particularly in biotech, pharma, academic, and government accounts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate customer needs and contribute to future product development and market expansion.
- Manage complex sales processes, utilizing the CRM system to track progress, update information, and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
- Drive prospecting efforts to generate new leads, expand the customer base, and explore new market opportunities.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the commercial organization to align with the company’s strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in biomarker discovery and a deep understanding of the life sciences market.
- Proven track record of success with 8+ years in life sciences capital sales.
- Highly adaptable, independent, and self-motivated professional with a passion for building lasting customer relationships.
- Experience managing complex sales environments and delivering on ambitious sales goals.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and territory management.
- Willingness to travel and support customers within the assigned region.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline is required.
- An MBA or related business degree is preferred.
Compensation:
Base pay is just one part of the total compensation package, which includes bonus opportunities, benefits, and participation in the company’s stock option plan. The base salary for this role is between $140,000 and $160,000, depending on your education, skills, experience, and location.
