We have an immediate need for a Sr. Cost Analyst at our manufacturing facility. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost. Driving improved profitability via cost reduction objectives.
Evaluate and correct Cost Accounting issues to ensure accurate financial statements.
Responsible for establishing accurate cost standards for our products.
Lead and provide oversight for month-end close activities. Prepare JE, get proper approval and reconcile to General Ledger.
Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects often working closely with Operations.
Responsible for ensuring inventories are properly controlled, adjusted, and counted.
Ensure fixed assets are properly and timely capitalized.
Prepare budgets/forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing and other related areas.
Provide financial and internal control support to a wide range of individuals and departments throughout the organization.
Subject matter expert in Cost Accounting, responsible for coaching and training other Cost Analysts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related degree program.
MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred, but not required.
Minimum 5 years accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in ERP systems such as SAP.
Knowledge of US GAAP basic principles and elements of internal controls.
Understanding of manufacturing accounting environment.
