Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an educational recruitment organization, is currently seeking a STEM Teacher for the 2025-2026 year in K-12 independent school in the San Francisco Bay area.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced STEM and Mathematics Teacher who excels in creating an engaging learning environment. This role emphasizes personalized education, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work within the Montessori philosophy.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deliver a rich, challenging STEM-focused curriculum aligned with common core standards.
- Establish well-designed environments at each teaching location.
- Provide developmentally appropriate materials to foster social skills, self-concept, and creative expression.
- Maintain multiple classroom environments in separate geographic locations (currently 4). Requires that the candidate anticipate the learning needs of the students prior to travel to the next location.
- Plan and implement a balanced daily schedule.
- Plan and execute educational trips and overnight experiences.
- Conduct at least three parent-teacher conferences annually.
- Host at least two open houses or family events annually.
- Occasionally serve as lead teacher at a second site.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Requirements:
- Degree in a STEM field, with priority given to candidates with a math background.
- Minimum of five years of classroom experience in a state-licensed program.
- Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally (20-40% of the school year, which runs September-August with approximately 9 weeks out of session).

- Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents
