Senior FileNet Developer
Contract Position
The FileNet/Data Migration Developer will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition of data from already converted proprietary Unisys data stored in AWS S3 and import to IBM FileNet platform hosted on AWS environment. This individual will be responsible for analyzing existing data structures, developing migration strategies, and executing data migration tasks with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in dealing with COTS databases (FileNet, Datacap), relational database management, ETL processes, scripting languages, data modeling and dealing large (Terabytes) volumes of data. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing data sources and determine migration requirements.
- Develop data migration strategies and plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Design and implement ETL processes and custom import jobs to extract, transform, and load data into target systems.
- Develop scripts, custom code(in .NET) and automation tools to facilitate data migration tasks.
- Perform data profiling and quality assessments to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with software developers, database administrators, and business analysts to coordinate migration activities.
- Document migration processes, workflows, and data mappings for future reference.
- Provide training and support to end-users during the transition period.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data migration and database technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience utilizing Datacap and FileNet
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- FileNet implementation and configuration
- FileNet development and administration
- Content and API process engines
- .NET development
- IBM DB2, PL/SQL, and SQL Server
- Active Directory administration and user management
- Process automation scripting (installation, configuration, maintenance)
