Our law firm client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with strong organizational skills to support attorneys in their Newark office!
This is a temp to perm position in Newark, NJ with an ASAP start!
Responsibilities
• Efficiently transcribe legal briefs, emails, and confidential documents
• Prepare and process legal documents from drafts and audio dictation
• Handle court e-filings and manage incoming/outgoing mail
• Answer calls, manage messages, and maintain attorneys’ calendars
• Arrange travel, prepare internal communications, and process reimbursements
• Oversee and organize attorneys’ files and administrative records
• Proofread, edit, and review billing sheets and process invoices
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of legal assistant experience
• Proficient in legal terminology, document preparation, and court procedures
• Advanced skills in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, redline comparisons, and digital dictation software
