We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at our facility in Pensacola , FL. The PT will provide exceptional patient care through the evaluation, planning, and implementation of physical therapy treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following illness, injury, or surgery. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical and functional status, including assessment of movement, strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve patients' mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, functional activities, and injury prevention strategies.
- Monitor and document patient progress, modifications to treatment plans, and outcomes using electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation software.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nurses, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and professional growth.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards, as well as facility policies and procedures related to patient care, documentation, and safety.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably with experience in orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics, is advantageous.
