The Role
As a Staff 3D Computer Vision Engineer, you will develop scalable, responsible AI platforms and solutions, driving ethical, privacy-focused, and innovative generative experiences to improve customer outcomes:
- Lead the creation, development, and deployment of 3D computer vision solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Spearhead computer vision initiatives across multiple teams, with expertise in 3D modeling, object detection, visual inspection, and sensor fusion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable 3D vision-driven systems that support automation, quality control, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement multimodal vision systems that integrate data from various sensors, such as cameras, LiDAR, and depth sensors, to enhance real-time decision-making in manufacturing.
- Design and develop privacy-preserving and robust 3D computer vision systems that align with the organization's mission to improve production quality and reduce waste.
- Advocate for emerging 3D vision technologies and AI-driven approaches to foster innovation and drive business growth in the manufacturing sector.
- Partner with internal and external teams to create forward-thinking 3D computer vision applications in areas like defect detection, robotics, and autonomous inspection systems.
- Champion innovative vision-based approaches that improve production workflows, safety, and efficiency through cutting-edge technology.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to develop scalable software and hardware platforms that enable the efficient deployment of 3D vision solutions across manufacturing environments.
Requirements
- Ideally have over 7 years of experience in a leadership role within engineering, with a focus on computer vision or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in 3D computer vision technologies, including object detection, depth sensing, 3D modeling, and visual inspection.
- Hands-on experience with multimodal systems, integrating data from various sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, and depth sensors to build comprehensive 3D vision solutions.
- Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing computer vision models and systems in production environments, particularly in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a proven track record of influencing executives and fostering alignment across engineering and business teams.
- In-depth knowledge of privacy, security, and safety considerations when deploying computer vision systems in real-world environments.
- Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sectors is a plus, especially in areas such as automation, robotics, or quality control.
