Mission of the Role
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for optimizing warehouse processes and ensuring that every order meets or exceeds customer expectations. This is accomplished through thoughtful development and engagement of warehouse and shipping personnel, and a high standard of excellence with regard to quality and day-to-day employee supervision and coordination of logistical processes.
Key Duties & Accountabilities
- Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities
- Manage, evaluate and report on warehouse productivity to include inventory control, including the receipt, storage, retrieval, and cycle counting of goods
- Proactively communicate and coordinate with other departments regarding receiving issues, problem-solving and improvements that impact the customer experience
- Ensure team-wide adherence to quality standards and SupplyOne policies and procedures.
- Develop the warehouse and shipping team through coaching and follow through on annual developmental planning
- Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
- Ensure smooth flow of operations by inspecting equipment and proactively identifying and addressing potential shortages or damage.
- Ensure accuracy of all receiving and shipping functions (FedEx and UPS shipping)
- Provide regular safety training
- Distribute workload among RSS warehouse personnel to complete projects on schedule
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist the Operations Manager, RSS with planning and implementation of special projects and process improvements
- Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare any necessary documentation.
