Job Description
We are looking for a Material Coordinator to work at our client’s site located in Bridgman, MI. This is a full-time, long-term contract assignment. In this position you will work independently as well as collaborate with team members and interact with stakeholders and vendors.
Job Details/Essential Job Functions:
- Provide training and oversight for new material specialists/projects specialist
- Ensure workload is distributed evenly to material specialist / projects specialist
- Identify receipt inspection daily work and provide to work control supervisor
- Ensure material is procured, staged, and available for prefab, testing, and installation activities
- Attend kick-off project meetings to understand the scope of work / materials
- Attend project meetings
- Participate in walkdowns
- Provide feedback on Engineering Change Material List (ECML) and 60% and 90% package reviews
- Review Field Change Request (FCR), Request for Information (RFI), ECMLs, Engineering Take-offs and quotes
- Complete and/or ensure Maximo Engineering Requests are submitted for new materials
- Ensure all Engineering Requests are closed out after review of new item creation
- Identify parts with a long lead/procurement time for project teams
- Ensure all materials considered for installation are vetted to ensure item numbers are created per procedure.
- Ensure Critical Digital Assets (CDAs) are positively maintained per procedures.
- Ensure all Maximo Purchase Requisitions are approved to the appropriate individuals per procedure.
- Ensure all material transfers are properly performed
- Ensure inventories are maintained for project installations
- Ensure staging areas owned by Materials team is maintained for good housekeeping
- Ensure material from delivery locations are picked up and process through materials sea land / location tracked
- Maintain access for Digital Control Staging Area (DCSA) team in DCSA Security System
- Track issues during outages and report to management
- Provide weekly material updates to work control supervisor
- Ensure unused Quality Level (QL-1) material is returned, if accepted by MMD
- Ensure obsoleted items identified by buyer are communicated to the Projects teams
- Provide recommended replacements for obsoleted parts per supplier or through research
- Ensure General Tracker (GTs) are created for equipment required to be returned to inventory upon removal
- Provide process improvement input / ideas
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Knowledge of material logistics and coordination
Previous nuclear power plant experience preferred
Maximo software experience preferred
Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana as well as CBD oil), and employment testing.
