LHH (formerly Parker + Lynch Legal) is working with an established boutique law firm that focuses their practice on ERISA and Employee Benefits. The firm is seeking to add an Associate who either possesses existing experience or has an appetite to be trained up in a specialized practice area.
Historically speaking, the firm has found that litigation attorneys with some law firm experience have transitioned successfully to their firm. Candidates with experience in federal court and/or experience with collections will be particularly celebrated. Anyone with Department of Labor experience would also be an excellent fit for the firm/role.
The firm will also consider candidates coming from a prosecution (government) background and/or a public interest litigation role.
However, someone transitioning from a purely compliance or in-house role with no substantive ERISA and/or employee benefits experience may not find this to be the best opportunity given their skill set. The same holds true for someone who focuses on family law/litigation as well.
Ideal candidates will also possess 2+ years of attorney experience.
The firm is less concerned with academic performance and more so interested in someone eager to become specialized without the burdens of business development obligations.
This firm is incredibly lifestyle oriented with ample work-from-home (note: everyone at the firm currently has a hybrid work schedule), low billable hours (1500), and no expectation for business development. The firm is very family friendly and understands family life.
The firm has multiple offices with the preference for this attorney to sit in their Cincinnati office but also the possibility to sit in their Indianapolis office location as well.
The compensation for candidates in the 2-5 year experience range is $80K-$110K plus 401K match, life insurance, and other benefits.
