Smoketown Family Wellness Center (SFWC) Pediatrics is an innovative model for health care delivery that focuses on the primary prevention of chronic disease by combining pediatric clinical care with healthy lifestyle and social determinants of health in community-based setting.
This is a full-time position that will report to the physicians and will be responsible for managing the administrative and clinical aspects of the Wellness Center. Has overall responsibility for leading, both operationally and fiscally, and sustaining the delivery of health and wellness services for Smoketown Family Wellness Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the daily operations and supervision of the practice.
2. Effectively communicate the Center’s mission, vision, and goals internally to staff as well as to the families we serve.
3. Responsible for hiring, training and managing office staff, addressing staff issues, providing regular performance reviews.
4. Responsible for employee payroll including management of employee time sheets.
5. Maintain insurance policies including liability, malpractice and Directors & Officers insurance.
6. Maintain all practice policies for SFWC.
7. Oversee billing and revenue cycle management.
8. Maintain hospital privileges for providers and referral partnerships.
9. Oversee financial well-being of the Center: billing, banking and accounting.
10. Manage contractors such as billing, accounting and researchers.
11. Maintain facilities and orders supplies.
12. Oversee financial best practices and procedures.
13. Assure regulatory compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
14. Work in collaboration with the staff, the Board and community to create, develop and implement new models of community and public partnership.
15. Lead and direct implementation of strategic direction, goals and objectives, inspiring commitment to the Center’s vision and mission among clinic staff and key community partners and stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education:
● Proven leadership and management skills and ability, including ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting.
● Minimum 2 years of experience in medical office leadership position.
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Experience in leading and supervising medical staff.
● Proven track record in modeling cultural competency and respect for all.
● Ability to work calmly and efficiently in stressful situations.
● Pediatric experience is preferred.
● Medical coding knowledge is preferred.
● Graduate level work in business and healthcare preferred.
● Connection to the Smoketown neighborhood is of benefit.
