Essential Functions:
- Prepping deposition packets.
- Support for trial preparation.
- Updating our system with information for Service and Medical Records
- Filing Documents for Service Department
- Drafting Letters, Applications, Proofs of Service and Defaults for Medical and Service Departments
- Mailing requests for Death Certificate, Social Security Records, Union Records, Civilian Records.
- Following up with facilities to obtain records.
- Processing medical/billing records once received
- Processing invoices for payment.
- Reviewing medical records to determine date range of visits.
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks including basic word processing, copying, faxing, electronic service, filing, data entry and record requests.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs including co-worker coverage and back up to supervisor delegating tasks.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
- Some college preferred.
- Minimum of six months’ office experience and/or legal background preferred.
- Experience working with medical records is extremely helpful.
- Ability to process a high volume of work accurately and consistently according to set schedule, under high pressure and time constraints, while remaining focused and positive.
- Accurate typing speed of 30-40 WPM, WordPerfect, Acrobat, Word, Excel and database preferred.
