Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain and manage comprehensive inventory of operating room equipment, For all operating room services (Bariatrics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Hand, Plastics, GYN, Urology) etc.
• Responsible for obtaining, organizing, and moving necessary wheeled equipment for surgical cases, including OR table swaps and set-ups.
• Daily inspect, test, and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards for all operating room location 11", 9m, and 15m floor.
• Responsible for daily delivery and assembly of equipment needed for all operating room locations 11%, 9%, and 15m floor surgical cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals to assess equipment needs and ensure appropriate equipment is available for scheduled procedures.
• Collaborate with Bio-Medical department in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with Biomedical department to coordinate repairs, installations, and equipment maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or its educational equivalent, preferably including one (1) year in electronic equipment repair, shop, general science, physics and completion of a course in electronic equipment repair and medical equipment repair in vocational, associate degree, trade or armed service school; and
2. Five (5) years of satisfactory, full-time, paid experience as a Medical Equipment Repair Technician for installation, repair and preventive maintenance of medical equipment, three (3) years of which must have been in a responsible supervisory or administrative capacity; or
3. Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Biomedical Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology or related discipline; and
4. Three (3) years of experience servicing a broad-range of clinical/patient care equipment, devices, and network medical systems in a hospital or health care facility; or
5. Three (3) years of satisfactory, full-time, paid experience as a Medical Equipment Specialist or equivalent type of experience; or
6. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
