Full-time and Long term 12-month contract (Renewable up to 5 years)
8-hour WEEKDAY SHIFTS at 6am or 8 am Positions available
Veterans’ Health System Danville, IL just outside of Chicago.
$22-$25/hour
All Federal Holidays off
Qualifications– ASCP Certification and One (1) Year of Experience

Job Description-Perform blood collection for laboratory testing including blood cultures and compatibility samples; Accession and receive samples into VA laboratory information system package for in house testing or send outs to reference laboratories; Prepare collection, measure, and record 24-hour urine volumes; Look up laboratory order numbers and patient information for outpatient draws.
Establish and maintain effective interpersonal skills and good customer relations with Patients, Families, and all other Medical Center; General clerical and administrative support for the area and Stock and maintain specialized supplies used in the drawing area.
