Paralegal
Gallivan, White & Boyd, P.A., is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join the Charleston office. Candidates should be professional, motivated, and able to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment. The paralegal will assist attorneys in handling billable tasks on workers’ compensation claims, including file organization, noticing depositions, discovery, compliance with state regulations, and preparation of documents.
Goals
Must adhere to firm billable hours standards. Experience with legal software applications and billing time preferred.

- Strong technological skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to electronically organize and manipulate documents in Adobe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize and analyze files electronically.
- Prepare written reports, correspondence, subpoenas, forms and other documents as directed.
- Interact with clients and opposing counsel as necessary to effectively perform assigned duties for supervising attorneys.
- Assist attorneys in preparation for hearings.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Follows directions.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent work experience
- Workers’ compensation experience preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
