As a Senior GNC Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced inertial navigation algorithms for their AUVs. - Develop and implement sophisticated inertial navigation algorithms for AUVs, including sensor fusion and error correction techniques.
- Conduct extensive simulations and field tests to validate and refine inertial navigation systems.
- Integrate inertial navigation solutions with other AUV subsystems, including guidance and control modules.
- Perform detailed analysis and performance evaluation of inertial navigation systems.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in inertial navigation technologies and apply them to our projects.
Required experience:
- This role is open to candidates with 1-10 years+ experience, as long as you have the experience / knowledge in inertial navigation systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, start-up environment.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- An understanding of inertial measurement units (IMUs), sensor fusion algorithms, and error modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming, Rust is a bonus.
- Any experience with AUV-specific sensors and integration, programming microcontrollers such as STM32 and knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems would be preferred.
