We’re supporting our client, a leading global equipment manufacturer based in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania who are looking for an Engineering Technician to join their growing team. The successful Engineering Technician will have experience of working within an electrical manufacturing environment.
Pay range and compensation package:
Pay range - $32ph-$36ph
Job Summary:
The Engineering Technician performs a variety of technical support tasks involving the New Product Development, inspection, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronic products and subassemblies. This role/position helps ensure products and subassemblies meet quality standards and manufacturer’s specifications.
The Engineering Technician uses a variety of T&M Equipment and software applications to complete support tasks. The Board Test & Repair Technician adheres to all production control material management work procedures and policies, as defined by business Quality Management System.
- Responsibilities:
- New Product Development Support
- Assemble, Test & Troubleshoot Engineering prototype products
- Electronics Expertise (embedded electronics, DC-DC Power, AC-DC Power, analog circuitry)
- Assembly Electro/Mechanical products and subassembly (under Eng direction/request)
- Wiring Termination (crimping and soldering)
- Small Assembly Hand Tool Expertise
- Setup and Run Product Testing (under Eng direction/request)
- Collect data
- Format data
- Summary report creation
- Qualifications:
- Assoc. Degree required (ET, other). Bachelor’s Degree viewed as differentiator.
- 5-7 years’ work experience with product test and electronic board component level repair of embedded electronic products.
- Advanced skill in setup/use of T&M equipment (DDMs, O-Scope, etc.).
- Advanced skill in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Advanced skill in component level troubleshooting and repair on electronic board assemblies.
- Strong Communication Skill (verbal/written).
- Work effectively (individual or small team).
- Advanced Problem-Solving Skills (knowledge seeker).
- Microsoft Office Proficiency (Office, Word, & Excel).
- Ability to execute work to communicated day to day priorities.
- Ability to execute work to expected time standards.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with a high degree of attention to details.
