IT Project Manager

Position Overview: The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex projects and managing full program life cycles. This role ensures that all project objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget. The IT Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and business units, while managing stakeholder expectations and project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Documentation:
- Analyze and gather project requirements.
- Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOW) and Business Case documents.
Project & Program Management:
- Oversee demand management for projects and programs.
- Initiate, plan, and execute projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Create and manage detailed project plans, assigning and coordinating resources.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Manage resources including time, budget, and personnel effectively.
- Organize steering committee meetings and ensure timely communication through structured communication plans.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including RAID logs, dashboards, and status reports.
- Develop test cases and manage stakeholder approvals.
Leadership & Communication:
- Establish clear communication plans and meeting cadences.
- Lead project meetings and facilitate steering committee calls.
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and oversee adherence to review boards.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Provide regular status updates to project teams, steering committees, and senior leadership.
- Use PM tools and dashboards to ensure adherence to PMO governance standards.
Project Closure & Documentation:
- Manage project closure processes, ensuring successful handoff of documentation to support teams.
- Conduct benefits realization assessments and collect project feedback through surveys.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
- Ensure transparent and frequent communication on project progress.
- Collaborate with regional counterparts and stakeholders across different time zones as needed.
- Assist the PMO team with governance and standards rollout.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of IT project and program management experience.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Agile, or Scrum are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
- Strong understanding of IT concepts, technologies, and methodologies.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Wrike, Jira, and MS Project.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and navigate complex issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects within time, scope, and budget constraints.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex projects.
