About Us: Brooksource is seeking a BSA to assist our grocery store client to enhance their data infrastructure. Our current project involves migrating data from AWS to Google BigQuery, and we are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join us in this exciting endeavor.
Job Summary: The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will play a crucial role in our data migration project. This individual will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, creating detailed technical documentation, and collaborating closely with engineers to ensure a smooth transition of data from AWS to BigQuery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements for the data migration project.
- Technical Documentation: Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, system specifications, and user guides.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Data Analysis: Analyze existing data structures and workflows to identify potential challenges and opportunities for optimization.
- Testing and Validation: Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure data integrity and accuracy post-migration.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role, preferably with experience in data migration projects.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of AWS, Google BigQuery, SQL, and data modeling. Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
