Role Overview
Our client seeks a Senior Analyst to support with transmission-related work. In this role, you will work cohesively with experts in a range of territories. You will provide production cost & power modeling analysis. The insights you provide will inform company strategies, client transactions, as well as policy initiatives. You will also provide guidance to help maximize the company’s generation portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic assessments & analyses of prospective transmission projects across regions
- Leverage financial modeling tools to perform evaluations
- Assist in creating, implementing, & sustaining a platform for strategic economic analysis
- Provide analytical support & conduct research to aid strategic business growth initiatives
- Contribute to large-scale transmission analyses & studies
- Carry out economic evaluations to assist utility customers within set deadlines, while maintaining strong relationships with them
- Lead financial modeling & craft business scenarios
- Utilize power analysis software to verify cases & conduct scenario analysis
- Employ mapping tools & perform geographic assessments
Qualifications
- Experience in the energy industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Understanding of & ability to utilize engineering principles to resolve issues
- Previous experience with mapping tools
- Expertise with transmission planning tools & transfer studies
- Strong communication skills
- Proven strong skills in analytical modeling
- Ability to thrive & produce results in a dynamic environment
- Excellent teamwork skills & emotional intelligence
