An aerospace client is looking for a Test Engineer who designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
Location: Madison, AL 35756 (On-site)
Position: Test Engineer
Pay Rate: $67/hr. - $75/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 6 months or longer
Schedule: 5x8 (M-F)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
- Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
- Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
- Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
- Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Citizenship Required.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience; or High school diploma or GED and 10 years applicable experience.
- Experience in performing test planning, monitoring, test integration (software installs, etc.), and test execution.
- Experience with network configuration.
- Experience creating and documenting technical documents, test plans/procedures, analyzing results and creating reports.
- Experience testing Hardware and Software for performance and functionality based on requirement specifications and the ability to identify and document exact sequence of activities desired.
- The ability to lift minimum 35 lbs.
REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Windows/Linux or Networking certification desired (i.e. Linux+, MSCE, CCNA).
- Security+ certification highly desired.
- Must be able to work in a technical team environment characterized by frequently changing tasks, new priorities and quick responses.
- IBCS knowledge highly desired.
