Job Summary: The role involves providing maintenance and repair services for various food processing and packing equipment in a production environment. This includes machines such as plastic wrap and vacuum pack machines, ovens, meat grinders and mixers, as well as printers and label-makers.
Requirements
- Experience working in a food production plant, particularly in environments with cold temperatures ranging from 38 degrees Fahrenheit to below 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Proficiency with Multivac food packing machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to comprehend the functions of equipment that have computer-programmed settings.
- Knowledge of boiler maintenance is advantageous.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and utilize hand tools throughout the workday.
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Skills and Education:
- Hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of food processing equipment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
- Technical training or certification in relevant fields (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance) preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments.
- Additional RequirementsReliable attendance with the ability to work overtime as needed.
- Availability for late afternoons, early evenings, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays.
Base Salary
$25-$32 Per Hour
