You are joining a team of highly skilled and experienced technologists tasked with maintaining and enhancing their large scale, globally deployed Linux-based platform.
This role comes with a huge amount of responsibility and requires someone motivated and driven to deliver the best results possible.
Your role:
- Take ownership of components on a global level, working with operational counterparts and customers to prioritize and execute on enhancements, extensions, and remediation in these critical components of our infrastructure.
- Use declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation across a mixture of strategic engineering and design projects.
- Responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving Servers, Blades, Virtualization, and High-performance Storage.
What you need:
- knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S and network protocols.
- Experience of using any modern config management system to automate the management of a large-scale Linux deployment.
- Experience scripting Python.
- HPC Experience.
