Purpose
Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment by minimizing production disruptions caused by failures. This is achieved through accurate problem diagnosis, timely interventions, and the application of preventive measures. The role involves performing inspections, managing technical resources, and supporting failure analyses, all while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards. Additionally, the individual manages maintenance records, optimizes energy usage, and plays a leadership role in motivating and developing staff, ensuring compliance with organizational norms and protecting assets.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the accurate diagnosis of equipment failures and coordinate necessary interventions to minimize production disruption and maintain operational reliability.
Conduct and oversee regular inspections of equipment, ensuring timely preventive and corrective actions are taken. Manage and update maintenance records to ensure the efficient functioning of the equipment.
Verify the availability of technical resources and ensure adequate stock levels of spare parts and critical materials required for maintenance and emergency repairs.
Participate in and support failure analyses, assisting the team in identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective measures.
Participate in maintenance programs aimed at minimizing energy consumption and optimizing the use of required energy resources.
Motivate, coach, and develop staff, ensuring effective communication and adherence to HR norms and procedures. Safeguard the physical resources (equipment, tools, facilities) under their management, preventing damage, theft, or misuse.
Ensure adherence to all HSE standards and procedures, including incident reporting, inspections, and participation in investigations. Implement preventive/corrective actions based on risk analysis and environmental impact assessments.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in equipment maintenance, emergency management, or production supervision roles.
Experience troubleshooting on electrical equipment: Identifying and fixing electrical issues on specific equipment.
Knowledge of key components in industrial automation and control systems (Electrical systems, PLC)
Knowledge of electrical sensors and transmitters: Types of sensors, types of transmitters, Operation & Functionality, Wiring & Installation and troubleshooting (diagnosing and interpret data).
Power and control of electric motors: types of electric motors, Motor Power Systems, Control methods and components, Motor Maintenance & Troubleshooting.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to convey clear and concise information in written reports, documentation, and correspondence with stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex situations, identify problems, and develop effective solutions quickly.
Ability to work on-site during emergency shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Comfortable working in uncertain or unclear situations, able to assess risks and proceed with confidence despite incomplete information
