We’re presently advising a multi-billion dollar international fund on its ongoing global expansion. They are seeking a senior investment professional to join their special situations team focusing on North America.
The role will require an experience individual to play a crucial role across all facets of the North American business – origination and investment, as well as contributing towards fundraising, fund development/structuring, investor liaison and a management role within the team as it expands.
The responsibilities will include:
- The sourcing, analysis, execution and management of investments across the special situations universe
- Concentrating on both public and private investments, typically focusing on stressed and distressed credit, but also including capital solutions and special situations PE
- Developing the origination network throughout the US and Canada – restructuring advisors, bank desks, lawyers, buy side investors, etc.
- Liaising with international teams and colleagues for investment committee, asset raising, marketing and trading purposes
The ideal candidate will be at Director-level upwards with either a senior investment analyst or portfolio management background. Buy side investment experience is essential, as are strong fundamental credit analysis skills and a broad origination network. The successful candidate will join a growing international fund with a strong proven track record over several years.
