Network Engineer – UC Install/Activation Engineer

Brooksource is looking for a Software Engineer III to join America’s fastest growing TV, internet and voice enterprise company. This company is at the intersection of technology and entertainment, facilitating essential communications that connect 24 million residential and business customers in 41 states. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting client’s with installing and activating their Unified Communications systems and working with the field techs to ensure a smooth implementation.
Job Summary:
- Help drive network engineering projects by participating in the network architecture design.
- Maximize projects by assisting in the disconnect of communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
- Analyze customers Unified Communications environment and assist them in installation and activation.
- Lead the install and pre-install of the Broadsoft Hosted Voice product for clients.
- Navigate and update Salesforce to adjust the clients profile.
- Coordinate billing changes for clients account.
- Improve productivity through in-depth new product evaluations and develop resolutions to network issues during implementation.
- Obtain feedback from clients on their experience with UC and hosted voice products.
- Maintain product and service quality by assisting in the development and documentation of technical standards.
- Ensure successful project completion by documenting and implementing approved procedure
- Support tiers across the organization during program implementations and disconnections.
- Enhance efficiency by serving on one or more projects simultaneously
Qualifications
Required Education/Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience within an enterprise setting
- Experience with Salesforce
- Knowledge of telecom industry terminology, specifically knowledge within call flow, UC design and PBX
- Experience as a field technician working with phone systems is a plus
- Experience with installing virtual or physical phone systems
- Exposure to industry and vendor-specific products (Cisco, Polycom, Avaya, etc)
- Experience within customer service and excellent communication skills
- Experience with large enterprise phone systems
- Experience with call center type environments
- Experience working directly with enterprise level customers
