Robert Half is partnering with local San Diego based Manufacturing company looking to hire an Information System Lead for a permanent placement opportunity. This position is full time and is 100% onsite in North County, San Diego. Ideal candidates will be creative IT problem solvers that enjoy working in a dynamic and rapidly-changing work environment.
What you get to do every single day:
- Troubleshoot level 1, 2, 3 technical issues in a 40 user manufacturing environment. As the solo in house IT resource, must be willing to help out in all technical facets, both simple and complex.
- Provide IT support to current ERP system and partner with 3rd party resources to further ERP module functionality.
- Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical issues.
- Support to proprietary manufacturing IT hardware and software.
- Identify recurring technical issues and propose solutions to address the root of the problems.
What you bring to the role:
- 10+ years experience in IT support, server and network administration.
- Ability to work indepently covering all facets of IT for a small manufacturing company.
- Administration of VMware virtual machines, Windows Servers, and Active Directory.
- Experience with both on prem and cloud based technologies.
- Identify, research, troubleshoot and resolve problems with hardware, software, and systems.
- Experience working in Manufacturing or Distribution environment.
- LAN/ WAN and wireless troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of network protocols and tools.
- Desire to learn new technologies, and take on new challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal/human relations skills.
- Flexible to handle Tier 1, 2 and 3 issues. This is a small business and you have to be willing to wear different hats depending on the need of the client.

- Position is 100% onsite in North County San Diego.
- General working hours are 8 AM to 5 PM.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA, N+, A+, S+, Cisco , Microsoft Certifications are a big plus!
