Job Overview
Wave Elite Cheerleading is seeking passionate and experienced cheerleading coaches to join our new startup cheer organization. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who love the sport of cheerleading and are eager to be part of a program from the ground up. As a coach with Wave Elite, you’ll help shape the future of our athletes, foster teamwork, and create a positive environment for skill development and competitive growth.
This role is perfect for coaches who want to make a lasting impact on young athletes and be actively involved in building a strong cheerleading community.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead cheer practices, incorporating both stunting, tumbling, and routines.
- Develop and choreograph routines for performances, events, and competitions.
- Provide feedback, motivation, and mentorship to athletes to enhance individual and team performance.
- Ensure safety during practices by teaching proper techniques and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other coaches, athletes, and parents to ensure team unity and a positive environment.
- Assist in organizing events, competitions, fundraisers, and team bonding activities.
- Help recruit and develop athletes to build a strong program foundation.
Qualifications
- Prior cheerleading coaching experience (competitive cheer experience preferred).
- Knowledge of stunting techniques, tumbling, choreography, and cheer safety standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and staff.
- Passionate about cheerleading, athlete development, and fostering team spirit.
First Aid & Safety Requirements
- CPR and First Aid Certification is required.
- Coaches without certification must obtain training prior to the start of the season.
- A strong commitment to athlete safety and well-being is essential.

This is a volunteer position. No financial compensation will be provided. Coaches will receive community involvement experience, leadership opportunities, and the chance to be part of a unique and growing program.
