Description
Our firm has been recruited by a large manufacturer to find a Human Resources Manager for their plant in Washington County, IN. We're looking for a leader ready to be the top HR person for a large (320 people) manufacturing facility. You'll need broad knowledge of everything from employment to compensation to organizational planning to employee training. They're implementing investments and upgrades, so they need someone who can help move things forward. This is an in-office position, with full relocation support for the right candidate.
They're a global leader in their space, offering long-term stability and growth options. You'll work for management invested in your growth and success. The location is outside the greater Louisville area.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Develop and implement strategies to attract, onboard,
- and retain top talent, ensuring the plant has the skilled workforce needed to meet
- production demands and customer requirements.
- Leadership & People Management: Provide support to plant leadership in developing
- their managerial capabilities, offering coaching and training programs that enhance
- leadership skills and promote effective people management.
- Drive Initiatives for Employee Satisfaction and Engagement: This is a non-union shop, so it's critical to make sure employee needs continue to be met.
- Operational Excellence & Efficiency: Partner with plant leadership to develop HR initiatives that improve operational efficiency.
- Financial & Budget Management: Assist with financial planning related to workforce costs, including labor budgeting, overtime control, and cost-saving initiatives within HR functions.
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies, mitigating legal risks and supporting a strong culture of accountability.
- Compensation & Benefits: Collaborate with the regional HR team to effectively manage and implement compensation and benefits programs within the plant, ensuring competitive and equitable offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar discipline.
- 7+ years experience in Human Resources for manufacturing facilities.
- Strong leadership track record within Human Resources, including driving new initiatives and implementing procedures.
- A solid background in labor relations, recruiting, training, and employee development.
- The ability to set a positive tone for the group, brining a sense of enthusiasm to the position.
Compensation:
$130,000-150,000 base salary (potentially more for a great fit) with 15% bonus.
