Job Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting our global Finance team. The role will report to the Senior Manager, Finance and will work closely with the VP, Commercial Finance and collaborate with the broader BritBox and BBC Studios Finance organization. The scope of this role is broad, supporting the monthly close for the North American business to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis. Additionally, the role will provide the opportunity to improve efficiencies in existing processes, implement new ones, and expand the scope to include FP&A activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in the Month End Close process by preparing and posting journal entries in SAP, including accruals (departmental, direct costs, overheads, and expenses).
- Assemble monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for certain accounts including pre-payments and accruals.
- Partner with the UK finance team to reconcile and verify recharges, pass-throughs, intercompany eliminations, and transfer pricing.
- Responsibility for weekly bank uploads, managing the Canadian bank accounts, regional treasury transfers, and liaising with the outsource provider on correct postings.
- Assisting the Revenue Finance Manager with reconciliation and reporting for sales and withholding taxes, revenue payment processing and analysis, and performance rights reporting and analytics for all platforms.
- Analyze and prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reporting.
- Support business process by partnering with other departments, including Marketing, Technology, Research, and Legal ensuring department heads are aware of spend versus budget.
- Assist with audit requirements and any tax queries.
- Finance support for planning analysis, including financial walks, what-if scenarios and other ad-hoc requests.
- Continually improve business processes through automation, thoughtful analysis and implementing best practices.

- An interest in watching British TV and the opportunities that SVOD can bring to an international market would be great.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Relevant accounting experience; CPA preferred.
- Strong foundation in accounting and experience with audits; public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced technical skills including Excel modeling and creating financial presentations; SAP, Business Planning Consolidation (BPC) experience a plus.
Salary Range: $70-80K base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potential
